Synchronis recently did this concept design for an elementary school classroom building using the Inhabio stackable building modules it has developed. When applying a rigorous building system, the danger becomes too much uniformity and repetition. To avoid that potential pitfall, we had some fun using arrangement, an accent stair element and, most powerfully, the judicious use of a variety of colors applied to the stucco wall finish. Albert Sawano has applied experience from over three decades working on major building projects to converge upon a design approach that sets aside traditional polarities such as functional vs. aesthetic, or architectural vs. structural, in favor of design that is holistically-approached, integrative, and synchronistic.
